I’ll start by explaining that the main character’s name is Lo Wang, the game Shadow Warrior has many pop culture references and most of the game is spent fighting demons with a sword and some guns. The Fortune Cookies range from clever to silly to downright ridiculous.

So far this little quote is how I’ve been living my life. I’ve never really had any goals or dreams so I do things as and when I feel like it, examples of this being writing a book or starting a blog. If things prove successful and I achieve something then I call whatever it is that I’ve done right my intention. Not everything has to be planned, success can come at any moment, just have hope and be clever about it when the time comes.

Always be prepared, whether jumping from a plane or buying a bus ticket, not being prepared can ruin your day or in extreme cases result in your death. Everything you say or do will have consequences, just be ready to deal with them. Thinking ahead and being prepared could be the key to a happy life or at least a less stressful one. So if you want thrills without fear of consequence, if you just want pure joy and satisfaction once and don’t care about the consequences then don’t prepare for anything but if you want joy more than once take a parachute when you go skydiving.

Wisdom comes with age is what we’re told but old people don’t know everything. As we age we find more opportunities to learn and we should embrace these opportunities no matter how pointless or silly the thing that we could learn is. Stupid things are often what makes life fun, a reason to live comes from the silliness that we find in life. If someone tells me a pointless but true fact then it can make my day because I will always embrace a learning opportunity, even if it is stupid.
