Every now and then I’ll come across a game where I don’t feel it fair to give a review, in the past I just ignored them but I think they at least deserve a mention and a brief description in my review section. I will add more to this at a later date.
Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown – An Xbox360 fighting game which I found fun as I defeated opponents by wildly bashing buttons, then got annoyed at because I couldn’t figure out why I was losing. I used to love Virtua Fighter but now I don’t understand the controls, I find the recovery time slow and I just can’t get into it enough to feel fair in a review. There are a few game modes and some training options for those more motivated to learn.
Capcom vs SNK 2 : Mark of the Millennium 2001 – An Original Xbox fighting game with many characters. The expected health bars and timers were there. Unfortunately I found the control scheme too confusing to play the game and it kept asking me about things like ratio, groove and isms which I also didn’t understand.
Super Mega Baseball 2 – A sports game on the Xbox One with season and multiplayer modes. You can select your team and your season length. The controls were simple but you need practice to master them. I found the game incredibly boring but I think that may be that I just don’t understand baseball, it isn’t culturally relevant to me.
