22 Miles, 4 Lakes, 2 People – All in aid of beating Cancer

It seems like ages ago when I posted this. Now it’s the final swim. Follow the links to the donation page and give generously because he’s also threatening to cut his hair off. I thought the swim would be enough for him but he’s still doing more if he gets enough money. Slides below are pictures from Facebook.

A friend of mine is doing something that I find very admirable for a cause which he believes in, Cancer Research. To support his efforts, I’m putting up this post to spread word of what he’s doing and see if I can get him a bit more support. Below is the information that I’ve been given, it comes straight from the people doing this great thing so here it is in their words:cancer lakes

“Nathan Allatt age 19 and Sarah Faulkner age 29 are taking on a massive challenge this summer to help try to raise £2000 for Cancer Research. They started their fundraising in 2016 when they successfully cycled from Liverpool to Scarborough over a weekend and raised £600, so now they want to continue challenges and fundraising until the £2000 target is achieved or even beaten.
nathan tshirt lakeThis year’s challenge will see them swim a total of 22 miles each over 4 different lakes in the Lake District from June – September. The first will be Lake Crummock which is 2.5 miles long and will be swam on June 24th. Then followed by Lake Basenthwaite 6 miles,  Lake Coniston 8 miles and finishing with Lake Windermere 10.8 miles.
This is a massive challenge for a charity that is close to both their hearts and they really would like to get all the support they can and see the donations come in you can donate at their Just Giving page – here.”

Thank you for anything you do to help them, I’m sure they appreciate it.
