Head-butting The Wall

“Do you hate me?”

“Of course I don’t hate you, to hate you I’d first have to have some love for you. After all love and hate are two sides of the same coin.”

“So what do you feel?”

“Rage. You can be a problem but you can also be the most amazing person I’ve ever met. Life is a wall that I keep smashing my head into in the hope that I can breakthrough and find something better at the other side… for all I know there could be another wall.”

“Life is good, it isn’t a wall. You’re just miserable and angry and lonely.”

“You just like every other problem are just another brick in the wall. I will breakthrough and find what I need. Sometimes you’re not a brick, you’re a window and through you I see a better life but things will never get better. Even when everything changes nothing is any different.”

“How can you live like that? Why not just kill yourself?”

“I’m not a coward. I could escape or I could look to tomorrow, to the other side of the damn wall.”

“So what then, you’ll keep being miserable forever, always down without any hope of being happy?”

“No! Every time I get knocked down, every time I knock myself out I just get up from the ground and butting heads with the solid stone is what I’ll do until the bricks are all gone or until the reaper catches me, either way I’ll win eventually.”
