The Pub

Boom boom,

The music blasts,

Louder and louder,

Boom boom,

Conversation lasts,

Battling the noise,

Boom boom

Struggle to hear,

This is difficult,

Boom boom,

Yazz? Elton John?

Another sip,

Boom boom,

Bugger it,

We go outside

I don’t go clubbing these days but this is the very reason why I prefer small gathering of friends around a camp fire. 😊

It was fairly quiet when we got there and there were only three of us but as the hours went by it got worse and they kept trying to change the atmosphere by making it louder until everyone was shouting. It’s was a good time but we had to leave for a bit of peace. A mostly silent fire with our choice of music volume would have been nice.
