Exercise. That’s what I mean and the people who do it are either incredible or crazy.
I recently bought the Beat Saber PSVR game and have finally had a chance to play it. It’s hypnotic and addictive in a way that you just want to try once more but it’s a rhythm game and that means pacey arm movement similar to weird fast dancing.
I’m not fit or healthy and I don’t do exercise so I’ve put myself out of breath and made myself ache for a game that demanded I move to a beat. You also have to duck sometimes in the game which results in a deep squat which meant my legs hurt once I had finished.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had a lot of fun today and do definitely intend to play the game again but there was a reason for me engaging in exercise and that was relating to a lifetime hobby.
What I don’t understand and the question I ask is why do people exercise by choice? I get weight loss and muscle building but some people actually find it fun, why? Why put yourself through exhaustion and pain to somehow find it fun?
I’m genuinely curious so any comments from fitness lovers would be greatly appreciated.
