Well, what can I say! The story is of a man who sits drinking in a bar and is then approached by a stranger. The man’s name is William and this book is his story. In return for him recounting his recent downfall the stranger buys him drinks and pays for his lodgings but very soon it becomes apparent that this is no normal stranger — he knows things that ave not yet happened.
This story is written with a subtle sense of humor throughout. It is a story that shouldn’t work but does so, brilliantly! I’ll definitely be looking out for more by this author. 5 stars. – Amazon reviewer
The second book in ‘The Stranger’ series and the author’s writing is so much more confident. The humor in this is there from the word go, but it does not detract from the story-line one bit.
We find the Stranger having just read a book called ‘How We Found Home’. It chronicled the journey of three brave astronauts and their journey to Mars. Their mission was to locate a golden tree and chop it down, thus making Mars habitable for humans.
Maybe he has been banned from time-travel, but that is not going to stop the Stranger, or Stan Therger as he now calls himself, becoming part of that historic mission. He joins the crew as Flight Engineer, and there are now four astronauts instead of three. Of course there will be consequences, changes, but what will they be.
You will meet Juan who becomes the Ultimate Supreme Lord King Of Mars (or does he), Major Tom Grayson and a multitude of aliens. You’ll come across a wall, lots of webs, wars,
and discover what those red rocks of Mars really are.
A perfect shortish read for anyone who enjoys Red Dwarf, Hitch-Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and other space humor. – Amazon reviewer.
