Donut County – Good – This short physics based game is about raccoons that use mobile holes to steal things. You are a hole, you move around and judge the size and shape of objects to make them fall into you. There’re characters that talk out the story but they feel unnecessary. It’s a strangely addictive puzzle game that has too much story and not enough puzzles but it was fun while it lasted.
Fractured Minds – Average – This is less of a game and more of an experience, a few levels feel game like but the idea is to experience what mental health suffers feel. The music and atmosphere that are created are pretty good and the main reason I played this to the end. Actual gameplay is just walking around mostly with a few puzzles. I don’t know how accurate it is to mental health so I can’t judge it on that but it had a good atmosphere and was easy gamerscore on Xbox.
Cluster Truck – Good – A good way to waste time or break your controller depending on your temper. Jump from truck to truck until you cross the finish line, repeat for many levels. A simple game which gets more and more difficult as the truck behaviour changes with corners and obstacles being added in. It’s simple, fun and frustrating and the fact that I can’t play for long without getting annoyed is the only reason I won’t call this one great.
I played all three of these games on Game Pass so my opinion is probably more favourable than if I’d had to properly pay for them.
